Resilient Energy Communities (CERs) are groups of individuals, businesses, or local entities collaborating to manage renewable energy production and consumption within a specific area. Their main goal is to maximize energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote renewable energy adoption, contributing to environmental sustainability and decentralization of the energy system.
At the National Conference "CER - Comunità Sostenibili," organized by DSA Group, Aniello De Prisco from SPERI highlighted key steps for forming CERs. Using a Sicilian case study on technical-economic feasibility, De Prisco emphasized the opportunities and challenges of creating and managing energy communities.
The event provided a crucial platform to delve into CER-related topics, advocating for innovation and collaboration as essential elements in building a sustainable and resilient energy future.
